Our Global client in Niles, IL is seeking SAP Solution Architect with strong technical knowledge, with extensive experience in Supply Chain.

Job Summary:

In your role as SAP S4 HANA IT Architect, Supply Chain, you will play a critical technical leadership role within our SAP organization, specializing in Materials Management (MM), MRP, Logistics Execution (LE), Warehousing (EWM), Purchasing, and Trade Compliance. As the primary liaison and strategic business partner with our business leadership, you will drive the global SAP Supply Chain design and solutioning across ECC and S4 platforms. This hands-on configurator role will involve no people management responsibilities but will require extensive solution expertise to identify opportunities for business process improvements and implement leading industry practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide solution expertise, hands-on solution design, perform solution build/configuration, build test cases, test execution, and implement integrated end-to-end solutions.
  • Offer solution design in the supply chain area, including Materials Management (MM), MRP, Logistics Execution (LE), Warehousing (EWM), and Ariba procurement platforms for large, global projects.
  • Collaborate and communicate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements, provide deep SAP Functional expertise in related process areas, perform fit/gap analysis, prototype, and frame solution design options for decision making.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and identify key challenges and opportunities within the specified process areas.
  • Work closely with SAP analysts to conduct necessary design reviews and deliver quality solutions within time and budget constraints.
  • Review evolving SAP technologies and assess potential impacts, proposing innovative solutions and enhancements to existing business processes.
  • Support SAP Teams located in US and Asia time zones during development, testing, and implementation phases.
  • Understand data and analytical platform capabilities to support the implementation of new platforms during blueprint, testing, and go-live phases, and support newly established Data Governance processes.
  • Ensure solution design proposals adhere to established security and data standards.
  • Participate in all project phases, including planning, blueprint, solutioning, development, testing, and support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; graduate coursework is desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a strong focus on SAP supply chain solutions, and at least 4 years of experience on large, transformational initiatives in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Proven experience in providing solutions and driving large, global, transformational initiatives.
  • Knowledge and integration experience handling two ERP systems (SAP-ECC, SAP S4), Business Intelligence, Data platforms, and third-party tools like ShipERP and Trade compliance tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on complex issues of diverse scope, requiring evaluation of various factors and an understanding of current business trends.
  • High attention to detail, process-oriented, and experienced in exercising judgement to determine appropriate methods and actions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
  • Capable of following processes and operational policies to select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
