This role offers a consistent daylight schedule, Monday through Friday, with rotating on-call responsibilities for weekends and holidays (averaging 10 days per month and two holidays per year).

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced Imaging Procedures : Perform imaging procedures independently, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

• Contrast Administration : Administer contrast following assigned protocols under the direction of the proceduralist.

• Patient Preparation : Demonstrate proper positioning and radiographic techniques for all interventional procedures, ensuring correct patient preparation and equipment operation.

• Patient Identification : Use two patient identifiers and universal protocol when performing procedures, reviewing patient history and assessing physician orders.

• Aseptic Technique : Foster an environment that supports aseptic technique during procedures and patient safety with the incorporation of a time-out process.

• Clear Communication : Communicate instructions to patients clearly and concisely, explaining procedures to alleviate fears and solicit cooperation.

• Accurate Documentation : Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, and networked for archiving and interpretation, and all charges are entered accurately.

• Team Collaboration : Interact with patients and co-workers with a high level of care, listening, dignity, and respect, working as a team member to expedite patient care efficiently.

• Support Other Departments : Assist other departments by performing general radiographic procedures as needed.

Educational Requirements:

• Educational Background : Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• CPR Certification : Required based on AHA standards, including both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

• Professional Certification : Must hold one of the following:

• ARRT Certificate

• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist

• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification

• Act 34 Clearance
