As our primary data emissary, you'll be working on reporting and using data to forecast, build insights, and draw correlations between our external and internal products. You will also be expected to see beyond just the raw data to understand our users' behaviors and interactions, and to explain those behaviors to stakeholders. You will be working with some of the brightest minds in the industry, and you'll get an opportunity to solve some of the most challenging Legal process problems on the web and mobile Internet, at a scale that few companies can match. Required Skills:

Data Scientist, Legal Technology Solutions Responsibilities:

  1. A highly skilled data scientist providing mentorship, guidance, and career development to the members of the team

  2. Drive technical development and project management of products and systems for various teams within Legal

  3. Apply expertise in Machine Learning, AI, statistics, and data exploration and analysis in leveraging internal operations data to solve critical problems for multiple legal teams

  4. Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Software Engineers in order to shape roadmaps with a balance of technical rigor and strategic considerations

  5. Educate partners, stakeholders, and leadership on results of data investigation related to user behavior and long-term trends

Minimum Qualifications:

  2. Master's in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or a related quantitative field

  3. 3+ years' experience analyzing data stored in various DBMS (MySQL, Oracle) or in Hive

  4. 3+ years' experience in the design, deployment, and maintenance of large data pipelines and data warehouses

  5. Software development experience in Python or other scripting languages (PHP, Perl, etc.)

  6. Demonstrated understanding of statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression) and experimental design

  7. Demonstrable experience in applying Machine Learning algorithms to solve real-world business problems

  3. Demonstrable experience in communicating data-driven insights to front-line and leadership teams

  4. Demonstrable experience in proactively initiating projects starting with data exploration and driving said projects to completion

Public Compensation:

$124,000/year to $176,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
