Position Summary: Candidate must possess diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to keep our heavy equipment and trucks, and trailers in top condition. Whether you're fixing an electrical glitch in an ignition system or changing a tire, you play a key role in keeping our fleet running so that we can conduct our business.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of prior diesel mechanic hands on experience, or combination of education and experience, required

• Vocational/Technical School certification preferred

• Working knowledge in the use of hand tools required

• Basic computer skills preferred, we use computers to complete service and part orders

• Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled environments are required

• Willingness to work the required schedule to support our business trends.

• Work location will vary from our main shop to field locations.

• Employment application, previous work experience, reference checks and drug screening are required.

Physical Requirements

• The physical demands described below are a representation of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit, crawl and talk or hear.

• The employee is frequently required to use hands, fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

Other requirements:

• Be shift flexible, have the ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends.
