In the role of Quality Engineer 1 you'll play a pivotal part on our Quality team. This position contributes to our vision by: The Quality Engineer is responsible for various phases of managing the Quality System. Will recommend the revision of specifications and formulate Quality System policies and procedures. Conduct training in all aspects of the Quality Management System, corrective action, and monitoring and measuring concepts and tools. The Quality Engineer is the control point for the analysis, reporting and training of a product line or lines. This job reports to the Director of Quality •Experience with the AS9100D and AS9102 standards inspection planning, tools and processes required. •Managing and maintaining the Internal and External Corrective Action system for NAT. •Managing and maintaining the Internal and External Audit process for NAT. •Managing and maintaining nonconformance process, tool calibration and conduct investigations and corrective actions into product failures and external and internal non-conformities. •Identify continual improvement opportunities and investigate implementation of the opportunities •Conduct internal and external quality audits of NAT's Quality Management System (QMS) and suppliers. •Works with the quality control and production personnel to drive the continuous improvement process. •Monitors and assists first article inspection (FAI) information system. •Other duties assigned by the Director of Quality Complementary Description Safran Cabin headquarters are in Huntington Beach, California, with a global presence of over 11,000 employees at 36 sites. Experience: 1-2 years' experience within the quality environment. Computer Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Office® programs ®, Office, and with MRP systems. Proficient use of Excel skills. Other Skills: Good trouble shooting skills and strong communication skills required. Familiar with general quality systems. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other related literature is necessary.
