Type of Contract: Direct Hire (FTE)
Clearance: TS and SCI (Top Secret and SCI clearance required)
Salary Range: DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional quality assurance by crafting and executing both manual and automated regression tests in a dynamic environment.
- Enhance the development process by supporting developers with troubleshooting and testing of new software as it is completed.
- Ensure products meet the high reliability and performance standards demanded by our customers.
- Collaborate closely with operational users to design, develop, and maintain systems that support vital national security missions.
- Create and execute automated front-end regression tests while also performing thorough manual testing.
- Accurately document test performance, identify bugs, and highlight software inefficiencies.
- Assist developers in devising realistic testing scenarios to improve software robustness.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software test engineering.
- Experience in a government contracting environment is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of software infrastructure, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance processes.
- Strong ability to document testing capabilities, performance metrics, and requirements.
- A collaborative spirit to work well with fellow testers, developers, and integration teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-driven with a passion for enhancing test performance and coverage.
- Security+ Certification or the willingness to obtain it within 6 months.
- Proven experience in writing and executing automated back-end tests.
- Bonus: Familiarity with AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, GIS, and more.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile methodologies and automation frameworks is a plus.
- Proficiency in Linux, Windows, Bash scripting, and various front-end technologies such as Javascript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Exposure to tools like AWS, Elasticsearch, RESTful APIs, and Git is advantageous.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Level Description:
- This position requires an experienced technical individual contributor who can operate independently with minimal supervision. The candidate may also oversee projects or processes and is expected to mentor and review the work of junior professionals.
