Your Role on the TeamPosition Summary:
Incumbent provides patient care to an assigned group of patients. Acts as a role model and resource to clinic staff and coordinates physicians and patients as requested by the supervisor/manager. Assists in developing patient education for assigned clinic. Utilizes a team based approach to delivering patient care services.

Required Qualifications:
- One year of Oncology experience or one year of MedSurg experience and completion of OCN Cancer Basics class
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum of six months demonstrated nursing experience
- Knowledge and practice of body mechanics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of infection control techniques
- Current chemotheropy/biotherapy card required within 3 months of hire
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS certification
- All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, physicians and others as part of a care team
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of JCAHO requirements
- Oncology Certification
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
