Position Summary: The Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist provides therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with speech, language, hearing, oral motor, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. The SLP plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to restore or maintain patient well-being and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team.

  • Perform clinical assessment to identify patient needs
  • Document and complete Plan of Care, progress notes, and other clinical record documentation
  • Analyze patient needs and administer care as ordered by physician
  • Educate patient/family concerning patient deficits and discharge plans
  • Must meet mandatory continuing education requirements
  • Promote Agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care

Experience/Requirements:

  • Pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure

Education/License/Certification:

  • Master's or higher degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in good standing

Physical/Sensory Essential Functions:

  • Ability to meet vaccination requirements of partnered school districts
  • Requires prolonged standing and walking, some bending, pulling, pushing, and heavy lifting
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity

Working Conditions:

  • Must own a personal computer with teleconferencing capabilities
