Wisestaff is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to perform onsite Interventional Radiology Physician Services on an as-needed basis to eligible beneficiaries of the Joseph M Cleland - Atlanta VA Health Care System.

  • Joseph Maxwell Cleland Atlanta VA Medical Center occupies 26 acres in Decatur, just minutes from downtown Atlanta.
  • We offer 466 inpatient beds, including a 120-bed Community Living Center, a 40-bed domiciliary, and a 21-bed residential treatment program.
  • With an annual budget of $25 million, our research program is ranked near the top 10 in the VA.
  • Our Trinka Davis Veterans Village clinic is named for Katherine "Trinka" Davis, who owned Trintex Corporation in Bowdon in the 1970s. She had a passion for helping wounded Veterans and their families. The Katherine "Trinka" Davis Rynne Fund annually awards grants to nonprofit organizations that help local Veterans.

Interventional Radiology procedures, including, but not limited to:

Angiography

Cryoablation

Balloon angioplasty/stent placement

Line insertion

Chemoembolization

IVC filters

Cholecystostomy

Vertebroplasty / Kyphoplasty

Drain insertions

Nephrostomy placement

Embolization

Radiologically inserted gastrostomy

Thrombolysis

Dialysis access & related interventions

Biopsy

TIPS placement

Radiofrequency ablation

Biliary intervention

Endovenous laser ablation of varicose veins

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia) when services are performed onsite on VA property.

• Doctor of Medicine MD or DO from accredited program

• Board Certified by the American College of Radiology with secondary board Certification in Interventional Radiology

• Clear and active DEA certificate

• BLS and ACLS

Skills Needed:

• Excellent Clinical Skills

• Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• Proficiency with Medical Records

• Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Dedication to continuous improvement

Schedule:

As needed, on call, leave coverage, and regular hours.

Monday - Friday, day tour, as needed.

After hours on-call, weekends and government holidays.

Weekday on call is from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 and 24 hours -weekends Saturday and Sunday
