Overview
As an Associate General Dentist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive dental care to patients while contributing to the overall success of the dental practice. This position requires a strong commitment to patient satisfaction, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat various dental conditions, including but not limited to cavities, gum disease, and oral infections.
- Perform routine dental examinations, cleanings, and preventive treatments.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Interpret diagnostic images (X-rays) to assess oral health and identify issues.
- Work closely with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
- Collaborate with specialists for complex cases and referrals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and clinical notes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Stay abreast of advancements in dentistry and continuously update clinical knowledge.
- Participate in continuing education programs to enhance skills and maintain licensure.
- Effectively communicate treatment plans, procedures, and post-operative care instructions to patients.
- Address patient concerns and inquiries in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence and ethical conduct.
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Previous experience working in a general dentistry practice is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong clinical skills in general dentistry procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing quality patient care.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to contribute to the success of the practice.
