Description

The Cylinder Head Technician is responsible for the inspection, repair, and reassembly of diesel engine cylinder heads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean, repair, or replace parts as necessary, according to specifications.
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to reassemble cylinder heads.
  • Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure the remanufactured components meet required specifications.
  • Maintain documentation of all work performed on each unit.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • Highest attention to detail and willingness to provide support at all levels to get the job done.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a diesel engine technician, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of diesel engine components, especially cylinder heads.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and machining equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to lift heavy (50 lbs.) equipment and parts.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • ASE Diesel Certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Fosters good coworker citizenship in the workplace, contributing to the overall positive work environment.
