The physician in this full-time permanent position will provide services to employees of Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals and related practices. This role involves pre-placement and return to work examinations, Medical Review Officer (MRO) reviews, occupational health injuries (Workers#39; Comp), occasional minor urgent care, and employee special health evaluations. It includes collaborative agreements with Advanced Practice Professionals (CRNPs and PA-Cs)in Occupational Medicine, and availability for complex clinical questions. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday. Office setting, 7:30am-4:30 pm. Primarily at the Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia locationwithoccasional presence at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery. No call, no nights, weekends, or holiday hours.Medium-volume practice. Excellent benefits package to include retirementbenefits, FSA, and CME allowance. Qualified candidates will possess: BC/BE in a primary care specialty with occupational medicine experience, or BC/BE in Occupational Medicine (preferred). 3-5+ years of experience in an occupational medicine setting or completed an occupational medicine residency Workers#39; Compensation experience a plus Medical Review Officer Certification (MRO) or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire Possess or able to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License Located in a major city with all kinds of great schools, art, education, entertainment, and recreation-- affiliated with major teaching hospitals and a medical school-- and currently the largest employer by head count (42,000) in our region.
