What You'll Do- Responsible for the design, construction, commissioning, and startup activities of capital projects
- Mentor electrical engineers and contractors, and oversee technology development, including budgets and resource planning
- Responsible for system upgrades in electrical power generation, distribution systems, low voltage, and electrical machinery
- Ensure well hook-up and medium voltage electrical system, installation, start-up, and commissioning are conducted safely and efficiently
- Work with the design teams to deliver seamless project construction work packages
- Interact with technical engineers and non-technical operations personnel to integrate new technologies and update existing systems
- Serve as the Electrical FE point contact for FE work within an assigned area
- Assist in maintaining Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Instrumentation, Process computers and related equipment
- Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment strongly preferred
- 1 - 2 years previous experience and/or knowledge with AutoCAD and reading blueprints
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and diagrams
- Practical knowledge of mechanical applications, electrical applications, and common industrial processes
- Proficient in MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Have a strong background with technical writing to be able to write documents for operations and maintenance, explaining new or modified equipment
- Experienced with field work and understanding the customer's needs
- Ability to work with in project scope and budget
- Ability to lead a project from design through installation and start up, including associated operational and maintenance training
- Strong communication skills required. Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
