JOB SUMMARY:

An Aftermarket Technical Specialist is a professional who specializes in providing assistance and guidance to customers who have purchased a STOBERS products or services. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that customers receive timely and effective support to address any issues they may encounter while using the product. Values: customer care, promptness, learning, teamwork, and some troubleshooting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Customer Assistance: Providing direct support to customers via various communications.
  2. Product Knowledge: Developing a thorough understanding of the company's products or services, including their features, functionalities, and technical specifications.
  3. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Creating technical documentation, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and other resources to help customers resolve common issues independently.
  4. Product Return: Initiates an RMA request on behalf of the customer.
  5. Quote and Order Processing
  6. Continuous Learning: Staying updated on new technologies, industry trends, and product developments through ongoing training, certifications, and self-study.
  7. Issue Resolution: Diagnosing customer-reported problems, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to resolve technical issues effectively. Collaborating with others to address complex or escalated issues.
Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  1. A.A.S. in associated technology or equivalent is preferred.
  2. One year in an electromechanical production environment helpful, but not required.
  3. Blueprint reading helpful for reading parts break downs.
  4. Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  5. SAP experience helpful.

  2. Attention to detail is a must.
  3. Participative work style.
  4. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with many diverse personalities in challenging situations, while presenting a courteous, professional demeanor.

  6. Results oriented with a high level of initiative.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Individual must be able to sit, stand, reach, and visual capability to use a computer for many hours per day. Individuals in this position are expected to perform daily functions with moderate supervision. Matters that do require direct supervision should be of a nature that requires the decision making or authority of higher-level management.
