As a Product Engineer, you will bridge the gap between technical and product roles, leveraging your software engineering background to drive product development and ensure technical feasibility. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, UX/UI, data analytics, and marketing, to deliver high-quality banking solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Ownership: Take ownership of product features from conception to launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your software engineering background to read code, participate in technical discussions, and ensure the feasibility of product solutions.
  • Roadmapping: Develop and maintain the product roadmap, setting clear priorities and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Requirements Gathering: Drive day-to-day requirements gathering and documentation, working closely with engineering and UX teams to translate business needs into actionable tasks.
  • Prioritization: Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing short-term needs with long-term goals.
  • Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination between engineering, UX/UI, and other teams to ensure a smooth and efficient development process.
  • Data Analytics: Leverage data analytics to inform product decisions, identify opportunities for improvement, and measure the success of product initiatives.
  • Customer Focus: Stay informed about industry trends and customer feedback, using this information to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Quality Assurance: Work with QA teams to ensure that product releases meet high standards of quality and reliability.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of transitioning into a product management or product owner role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and understanding code (languages such as Java, Python, or similar), and strong technical acumen.
  • Analytical Skills: Experience with data analytics tools and methodologies to drive product decisions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with online banking and/or mobile banking applications is highly desirable.
  • Product Management Skills: Strong experience in roadmapping, requirements gathering, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
