Description:
Specific Responsibilities Supporting Contract Lifecycle
• Provide pricing calculation analytical support for MFC and TC identification
• Liaise with internal technology teams to develop automation, database requirements, reporting and dashboards
• Provide database management and analytical assistance on audits
• Lead automation projects for manual tasks within the Government contract department
• Support reoccurring (monthly) contract performance analytics, such as customer utilization, sales trending; and market penetration
• Conduct analysis to determine the most favorable price & GPO TC customer for product addition modification
• Provide data management support for contract compliance monitoring and Tracking Customer and Trade Agreement Act reporting.
• Support ad hoc analytical needs for SCG VP’s and management
Other Essential Responsibilities:
• Analyzing and creating dashboards based on data from external solicitation websites, such as FedBizOpps
• Analyze data and provides insight and recommendations for business decisions. Build the necessary tools for communication
• Perform complex and customized analysis to provide customer and business price, price trends and price impact
• Create monthly reporting for all Government Agreements and RFPs/Solicitations
• Create business analytics and reporting by synthesizing information from multiple sources of data
• Act as government liaison to Commercial Operations Business Insights & Analytics team
• Ability to provide strong direction and competitive intelligence related to bid/proposal solicitation responses
• In partnership with other analytical teams, provides requirements, user testing and feedback for the development of Government Dashboards required to monitor sales trends and forecasts
• Support Database and Dashboard creation – QlikView, Sales Compensation reports, IFF reporting, for SCG VP’s and management to support business review and decision making
• Drive process improvement (new technology, automation, system updates, reacting to new legislation etc.)
Qualifications
• BA/BS required with 5 years of related government contracting experience, or in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, extensive (10+ years) experience in the applicable area
• Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated experience in data mining projects desirable
• Demonstrates working knowledge of concepts and principles of business metrics and analytical techniques/tools, including their application in executing effective customer contract administration
• Demonstrates working knowledge of how customers' business relates to BD’s overall product portfolio
• Proven leadership skills
• Advanced communication and computer skills
• Proficient in Excel & data mining tools
• Advanced skills in database management and design
• Proficient in SQL Server Integration Services
• Proficient in SAP BI/BW & Qlikview in the context of Reporting
• Familiarity gathering and analyzing information from Third Parties and presenting information in a clear and concise way.
• Proven ability to quickly establish credibility, trust, and support within all levels of organization
• Strong analytical mindset – must be able to access situation, collect data and deliver well thought out recommendations
• Ability to partner with Sales Leaders and General Management to develop reporting that may represent complex concepts, and defining the business value of solutions in a clear, understandable way
