What you will enjoy doing*
- You will interface with other engineering/design disciplines to create site layouts considering constructability, cost, safety, and conformance to standards
- Lead design teams to create detailed fabrication and construction packages
- Check design packages to ensure completeness, conformance to project requirements, design standards, codes, safety, and quality
- Also, you will ensure successful completion of assigned tasks within time and cost restraints
- Investigate problems and develops/implements appropriate solutions
- Apply advanced technical skills to execute assignments
- In addition, you will interface with both internal and external customers
- Operate computer aided design equipment and software to perform design activities
- Ensure that designs comply with design and safety standards
- You have an Associate's degree with 9+ years design drafting experience
- Strong mechanical/process piping design background
- Knowledge of industrial codes, standards, and practices
- Additionally, you have experience with 3D modeling of piping, structural steel, and equipment
- Demonstrated success in leading teams, planning work and meeting deadlines
- Also, you have the ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support project tasks and construction
