Description

Are you an Experimentalist with expertise in solid state quantum devices like semiconducting spin qubits? Do you want to work with a vibrant team of experimental and theoretical physicists? If so, join our team at APL.

  • Propose and lead independent research projects focus on novel semiconducting quantum devices, controls, or characterization techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with other APL staff to identify emerging challenges with quantum solutions.
  • Support ongoing programs in quantum information science by making immediate contributions to efforts that are looking to implement quantum characterization, control, and error protection strategies in semiconducting spin qubit systems.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 1+ years post-doctoral experimental experience with quantum systems
  • Proven record of research accomplishments and publications in quantum science
  • Willingness to travel to sponsor sites, conferences and workshops
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
