The Solutions Architect Business Apps is responsible for supporting and leading enterprise architecture (EA) activities that guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions through collaboration with stakeholders to understand business needs. This position will be pivotal in shaping projects, products, systems, and services to ensure alignment with business objectives and long-term strategic vision.

Responsibilities

The Solutions Architect Business Apps responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Translating business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints.
• Collaborating with product owners to ensure future-proof architecture.
• Monitoring and identifying deficiencies in the current solution portfolio.
• Analyzing industry trends and disruptions for informed decision-making.
• Assisting in product decisions and recommending actions.
• Analyzing the business-IT environment and recommending improvements.
• Facilitating the evaluation and selection of software products.
• Consulting on application and infrastructure development projects.
• Leading evaluation, design, and analysis for solution implementations.
• Managing and developing architecture for multiple projects.
• Developing a roadmap for evolving the solution portfolio.
• Consulting on a broad range of technologies to drive business outcomes.
• Creating architectural designs to guide solution development.
• Providing consulting support to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

• MS/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years working experience in cloud infrastructure services including compute, storage, load balancer and networking services
• 8+ years' experience architecting solutions for large enterprise systems in cloud
• Experience with SQL/MySQL database products
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, C-Sharp, ASP, .Net or other scripting languages for developing automations
• Experience working with multiple engineering teams across organizations
• Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences
• Good customer & executive communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Experience with Time Management technologies (Ex. UKG Dimensions) preferred
• Understanding of distributed computing and cloud-based platforms preferred
• Experience and understanding of cloud infrastructure services preferred
• Knowledge and experience in using cloud deployment tools like Ansible, Terraform preferred
