This opportunity entails being responsible for working with public agencies and private individuals to identify, negotiate, and purchase private property for public use or private projects. What You'll Do: Prepares offer and conveyance documents for property being acquired for transportation or utility projects. Reviews title work to determine ownership and encumbrances needing to be cleared, as well as appraisals to understand the basis of the offer and impact to the property. Meets or communicates with property owners to negotiate the offer for the proposed right of way. Reports to lead right of way agent for project and/or right of way manager. Performs other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: HS/GED and 3 years experience with right of way (DOT, transit or utility) or other relevant experience. Real estate license, as required by state law. What We Prefer: Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
