Maxim Healthcare Services in Denver is hiring for a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse to work one-on-one with pediatric patient in Aurora, CO.

Case specific Information:

  • Pediatric male located in Aurora, CO

  • TBI auto vs pedestrian

  • Avaps bipap while sleeping via mask, G/J-tube care and feeds, oxygen, nebulizer, cough assist, cpt vest, pulse oximeter while sleeping, suction oral/nasal, lots of respiratory issues and seizures

  • Manual lift to chair/bed/shower chair (approx. 70lbs)

  • Nonverbal, immobile, npo

  • Must be comfortable with respiratory issues and seizures and manually lifting a 70 lb dead-weight patient

Hours:

  • Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday

  • 9am-5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required

  • Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change

  • Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals

  • Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor

  • Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention

  • Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License or (LPN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.

  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.

  • Current BLS card.

  • One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) experience preferred, but not required.

Salary:

  • RN: $38-$40/hour

  • LPN/LVN: $28-$30/hour
