This position requires a deep understanding of the Construction/Craft Skills industry, its trends, and the skills required to thrive in this field. The specialist must be able to collaborate effectively with industry partners, develop IBC programs, and ensure that students receive the training necessary to meet the demands of the workforce. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Construction/Craft Skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with the Dean of Technical Education to align programs with the college's goals.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Establish partnerships with Construction/Craft Skills companies, government agencies, and community organizations to create pipelines for internships, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities.
- Design and coordinate Construction/Craft Skills-related training programs, focusing on current industry trends and workforce demands.
- Collaborate with the Dean of Technical Education to develop and update curriculum aligned with industry standards and emerging technologies.
- Implement and promote industry-recognized credentialing programs in areas such as commercial driving, logistics, and fleet management.
