Summary: As a Jr. Software Developer you will be responsible for developing software programs or systems that align with end-user needs. Duties include meeting with stakeholders to strategize ideas for beneficial software, coordinating with other IT team members to design software, and running testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with management, staff, and IT to identify end-user requirements.
  • Design and develop new systems programs and applications or alter features and enhancements for existing ones with an emphasis on clean, highly efficient, supportable, and well documented code for the full technological stack.
  • Develop tools to improve the productivity of Lucifer Lighting Company across multiple platforms.
  • Identify the best technology to fit the needs for specific issues or projects.
  • Comfortable with the ambiguity that comes with innovation, can deliver scalable technical solutions, think strategically, make decisions for long term effectiveness.
  • Work with external vendors to implement new integrations among applications and enhance existing integrations.
  • Perform all phases of software development, including requirements generation, design, implementation, testing, integration, installation and maintenance, and documentation.
  • Conduct training for staff on developed software.
  • Create documentation for use and support of the items created by the developer.
  • Keep current with best practices for security, coding, and software development.
  • Prioritize learning and identifying opportunities to adopt new technologies to be used in current or future projects.
  • Attending training on proprietary systems used by Lucifer Lighting Company if necessary. This includes but not limited to Syteline and Salesforce.
  • Recommend and lead changes to development and systems integration that will increase efficiency and development effectiveness.
  • May serve as technical lead for projects and mentor other staff.

  • Ability to work shifts including nights and/or weekends.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Exhibit good time management.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under stress, regardless of competing priorities.
  • Platform/Systems knowledge with MYSQL, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, PowerShell, C#, ASP.NET, Spring Boot, Angular, Crystal Reports, Oracle, SyteLine and Salesforce
  • Experience and proficiency in relational database management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office Products.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, business information systems or related, and 1-3 years of equivalent work experience
  • Equivalent work experience with job specific certifications is not preferred but may be considered.
