Job Description: Quality Engineer We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to work with a specific set of customers, handling all quality issues and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role involves responsibility for SPC, PPAPs, corrective actions, and quality audits. You will aid in creating and reviewing standards, procedures/work instructions, and process tolerances, and assessing risk to customer satisfaction for process changes/deviations. Additionally, you will evaluate and champion customer approval for new product introductions, engineering changes, and deviations. Providing leadership in problem-solving tasks and validation of solutions is also a key part of this role. This position requires 5% travel within the Midwest. Responsibilities Handle all quality issues for a specific set of customers. Manage SPC, PPAPs, corrective actions, and quality audits. Aid in creating and reviewing standards, procedures/work instructions, and process tolerances. Assess risk to customer satisfaction for process changes/deviations. Evaluate and champion customer approval for new product introductions, engineering changes, and deviations. Provide leadership in problem-solving tasks and validation of solutions. Essential Skills Experience with ISO9000, Customer Quality, Quality Engineering, Audits, PPAP, FMEA, APQP, and SPC. Ability to handle customer complaints. Experience with SPC, PPAPs, and corrective actions. Additional Skills & Qualifications BS in Engineering with 1+ years of experience or no degree with 5+ years of experience in quality. Experience leading quality technicians and inspectors is a plus. Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO9000, AS9100, etc. Work Environment You will be working in a large and clean assembly manufacturing facility. Direct hire is an option if needed.
