Job Summary

Pest control technicians help customers identify and get rid of various pests. The pest control technician's responsibilities include driving to assigned locations and inspecting customers' premises, advising customers on possible treatment options. Technician will identify, select, mix, and apply appropriate solutions or trap to get rid of pests.

Job Duties

  • Determines the kind of treatment required to eliminate a particular type of pest.
  • Advises customers on the kind of treatment required to eliminate identified pests.
  • Inspects customers' premises to identify pest problems.
  • Fills out all necessary paperwork upon completion of each job.
  • Communicates with office staff in order to schedule services with customers.
  • Applies suitable pesticides to infested areas by following the label instructions and complying with safety procedures.
  • Responds to customers' requests for various pest control services.
  • Identifies opportunities to sell additional company services and products.
  • Adjusts chemical mixtures according to the size of the infested areas.
  • Distributes door hangers in residential/commercial areas
  • Exercise daily time management
  • Utilize appropriate protective gear and equipment during application
  • Power spray chemicals onto surfaces
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
    • Active Branch 2 Field Rep Pest Control License Required.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Self-motivated
    • Must care about customers
    • Must have a great DMV record and valid driver's license for at least 2 consecutive years
    • Must pass a background check
    • Must be willing to routinely lift, push, and pull equipment, ascend and descend from ladders
    • Must occasionally work nights
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs,
    • Proven pest control experience
    • Ability to work in all weather conditions
