A Project Engineering Lead is needed for a leading manufacturing organization in the Lexington, KY area. The Project Engineering Lead to coordinate and manage Capex and Operation budgets for commercial and industrial renovation projects within the plant. This role involves overseeing capital and operating budgets, providing engineering support, and ensuring successful project execution. The position requires on-site presence, occasional travel, and the flexibility to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, based on project needs.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, with over five years of construction project management experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical knowledge of design, construction, and scheduling are essential.

responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall capital budget program and oversee operating budgets; Develop KPIs and visualization tools to report on budget status accurately

  • Provide engineering and project management support for non-manufacturing sites

  • Manage project schedules and budgets, including management reporting; Prepare project status reports covering schedule, budget, safety, and current issues

  • Monitor contractor performance in terms of safety, cost, and schedule; Develop detailed user criteria documentation and scope of work for procurement

  • Review specifications, utility standards, and drawings, coordinating with customers

  • Oversee architect/engineer site visits and responses to contractor inquiries
