IT Support Specialist

Job Summary
James Avery is seeking a Temporary IT Support Specialist for a 6-month duration to provide essential support across various IT functions, with a specific focus on assisting with vulnerability remediation and patching.
Essential Functions
*Assist with the execution of vulnerability remediation projects on endpoint devices, as identified by the System Administration and Information Security teams.
*Participate in software update and patching projects on endpoints to maintain system security.
*Provide customer support for InfoSec project activities including enhancements to Windows firewall, USB device restrictions, endpoint system security, and contractor remote access.
*Setup, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers due for replacement or updates, as determined by the IT Asset Management (ITAM) platform.
*Provide support for other IT asset management (ITAM) activities, ensuring assigned tasks are completed on schedule.
*Support implementation of a new information kiosk digital signage solution.
*Fulfill work requests via our ticketing system and perform site visits as needed.
*Document all work in the IT ticketing system, monitor the status of unresolved issues and communicate frequent updates to customers.
*Work closely and collaboratively within multiple IT team environments.
*Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
*High School Diploma or equivalent.
*Experience in IT technical support with a focus on security measures and vulnerability management.
*Familiarity with patch management and security best practices.
*Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
*Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and manage frequent interruptions.
*May be required to travel to various work locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
*Technical certification or relevant coursework.
*IT Support experience.
*Experience with POS applications.
