As an RN - ED you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the provider's medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient ,his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
0.6 FTE Nights. 7pm-7am. Includes every third weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing with current enrollment in Associate or Bachelor of Nursing degree program or Registered Nursing Certificate (post baccalaureate degree).
- Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry
- Registered nurses re-entering the nursing field, who have not completed 520 hours of nursing practice in the past four (4) years must successfully complete a recognized refresher course to qualify for employment. Written information of certification validating successful completion of a refresher course must be provided before employment.
- Current BLS - American Heart Association or BLS - American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
- ACLS certification required from AHA within 6 months of start date if not present at hire
- PALS / ENPC certification required within 6 months of start date if not present at hire
- TNCC certification required within one year of start date if not present at hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate or Master's degree in Nursing
- Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
- Specialty Certification in the RN's area of expertise (e.g. CCRN, PCCN, CNOR, CPAN, CAPA, etc)
