Job Title: Inventory Control Clerk

Department: Maintenance

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Classification: Non - Exempt

Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI

SUMMARY: Maintain inventory of machine parts and chemicals for the Maintenance, Operations, Sanitation, and Safety departments. Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked; attains maximum levels of profitability, customer service, and competitive positioning while minimizing expenses.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive materials in accordance with approved procedure. Dispense parts and equipment to maintenance employees.
  • Maintain the approved supplier list for ISO 9001.
  • Obtain Material Safety Data Sheets and USDA-approval documents for chemicals used in the department and prepare labels for chemical containers.
  • Resolve issues involving short shipments, damaged goods, returns, unmarked or incorrectly marked goods, and track shipments when necessary.
  • Label material and stock items in the proper location, pick material and deliver to user upon request.
  • Perform physical, cycle, and free-issue transaction counts of materials and supplies as directed.
  • Communicate with Accounting Department regarding Maintenance Department billing questions or disputes.
  • Complete and enter receivers, requisitions. Assist in reporting status us physical inventory results to management. Assist in maintaining MP2 system database.
  • Accurately controls and tracks physical inventory.
  • Issues purchase and work orders to generate product shipments.
  • Maintains status of orders throughout entire process.
  • Participates in inventory process and daily audits; researches and resolves inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintains and manages accurate records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, and/or supplies stocked.
  • Maintains shipping and receiving schedules.
  • Performs and oversees processing and routing of invoices.
  • Maintains and oversees back-order system and inventory database.

  • One to two years related experience or equivalent.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards

  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing
priorities with enthusiasm
  • Acute attention to detail
