JOB TITLE: Kindergarten/Noon Paraprofessional - Jefferson Elementary School
JOB DESCRIPTION: Kindergarten Paraprofessional will assist classroom teachers in direct student work. Focus will be directly in reading and math. Will also be expected to supervise the lunchroom and/or playground. Other duties as assigned. Paraprofessional hours will be 6.75 hrs./day.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma required. Experience working with elementary-aged children. Ability to work collaboratively with other team members. Ability to work in outside weather conditions throughout the year.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: One of the following required: (1) Two year Associate of Arts degree; OR (2) The equivalent of 60 semester credits OR (3) A portfolio demonstrating MN Core Competencies for Paraprofessionals OR (4) A passing score on the MN Para Pro Test.
