Location: Clearwater, FL 33759
Approx 10-15 hours per week
Rate: $30-$35/hour

The MDS Coordinator is an RN/LPN who is responsible for the overall coordination, maintenance and timely completion of the MDS, care plans and medical records for residents.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Coordinates, conducts, and completes the MDS, resident care plans and conferences on the computerized system.
- Assures accuracy and completeness of entire medical record.
- Assures and monitors that MDSs are completed within HCFA and Medicare guidelines.
- Ensures MDS electronic submission occurs per State regulations.
- Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to medical record documentation.
- Assists DON in developing and implementing medical records policies and procedures.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current RN/LPN in Florida. Current CPR/BLS certification. In- depth experience and knowledge working with MDS computer software. Experience with the MDS transmittal process and understanding of regulations impacting the MDS.
