Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team in Camden Wyoming, DE. This contract position is ideal for both local and travel candidates who are passionate about helping students in grades K-8 overcome speech and language challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Provide direct therapy to students, both individually and in groups, to address speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the classroom.
  • Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Educate and provide resources to parents and teachers on speech and language development and strategies to support students.
  • Stay current with best practices, research, and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Delaware.
  • Experience working with children in grades K-8 is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic school environment.
