Position Overview:
Legacy Grill, the new restaurant at Legacy Golf Course at the 19 in Mason City, is seeking a busser. This exciting dining destination is designed to offer exceptional culinary experiences for golfers and guests alike. As a Busser, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our dining environment. You will support the service team by ensuring that tables are set, service stations are stocked, and that our guests enjoy a clean and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a team-oriented individual with a positive attitude and a passion for hospitality.

Starting Pay: $7.25 an hour plus tips

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service during dining hours.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and restrooms, ensuring that all areas are well-stocked and presentable.
  • Reset tables between guests, ensuring that crockery, cutlery, and glassware are cleaned, polished, and replenished as needed.
  • Empty trash bins, replenish supplies, and handle other maintenance tasks to support the team.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, providing friendly and professional service.
  • Assist servers by clearing dirty plates, utensils, and glassware from tables and refilling drinks as needed.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and multitasking skills to keep up with the pace of the restaurant.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times while adhering to company grooming standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements & Experience:
  • 1-3+ years of hospitality experience in full-service restaurants.
  • Clear understanding of the English language (verbal and written).
  • Availability on weekends is required, as well as on holiday when the restaurant is open.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Ability to work in hot, humid, and potentially fast-paced conditions.
  • Willingness to adapt to ongoing changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and confident verbal and written communication skills with guests, team members, and management.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, ensuring all tasks are completed to high standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills to interact courteously and professionally with guests and staff.
