Job Title: Assembler Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks involved in the 12-step process of modem assembly and refurbishment. You must be comfortable being on your feet for the entirety of the day, have a strong attention to detail, and be willing to work collaboratively with others. Additionally, you will receive cross-training in various areas to enhance your skills and versatility. Responsibilities Document received parts and components. Perform factory resets by manually pressing a button. Conduct automatic tests by plugging in up to 32 units to determine necessary repairs (longer cycle times of 60-90 minutes). Execute Wi-Fi tests. Carry out elevated temperature tests. Clean and repair the cosmetic appearance of modems. Perform in-process quality control (IPQC). Assemble kits for packaging. Build pallets for shipping to clients. Ship completed orders. Ensure parts are scanned at every step of the process. Essential Skills Strong attention to detail Comfortable being on their feet for the entirety of the day Ability to work well with others Willingness to be cross-trained in various areas Hand dexterity Punctuality Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in assembly, packing, retail, repair, refurbishment, stock management, quality inspection, soldering, test equipment usage, RF scanner operation, computer literacy, blueprint reading, and power tool usage. The facility includes a locker area and a cafeteria equipped with refrigerators and microwaves. Located in Elgin, IL, the site is conveniently situated close to major roads, gas stations, and restaurants.
