Position: Full Time Counselor Position

SCAN is establishing a project to provide comprehensive, coordinated, and evidence-based treatment and services for individuals with substance use disorders (SUDs) or co-occurring mental health conditions and SUDs (CODs) who are experiencing homelessness. The Mental Health Counselors will serve as members of SCAN's Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Team. This multidisciplinary team is composed of mental health professionals and medical staff that will provide comprehensive, accessible, client center health care for SCAN's clients/patients.

Duties: Provide a full range of psychological therapeutic interventions which will require advanced and expert skills in using specialized interventions and treatment modalities with this special patient/client populations. This includes crisis intervention, individual, group, and/or family psychotherapy and advanced level case management interventions used in the treatment of clients with a range of DSM diagnoses, and or substance abuse/dependence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in psychology or social work.

  • Must have a LPC-Associate license.

  • Must be fluent in both Spanish and English.

  • Have good computer skills.

  • Able to transport clients/patients in own vehicle at times and will be compensated for mileage.

  • Reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and a valid driver's license are required.

  • Able to work flexible hours and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the mental health field preferred.
  • Experienced with Evidence-based practices.
