A Behavior Specialist Director position in Staten Island, NY is now available through Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences. In this role, you will oversee the coordination and implementation of resident-specific behavioral plans and interventions. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective organization of services, maintaining resident safety, and leading our dedicated team of behavioral specialists.

This is a direct-hire position starting in April 2025. The annual salary range is $145,000-$200,000/year – depending on your level of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assign behavior specialists to specific units and responsibilities.

  • Ensure effective communication regarding behavioral services policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and facilitate accurate data collection on resident behavioral status.

  • Address staffing needs and communicate coverage requirements for behavioral services.

  • Provide guidance and support for cognitive retraining and meaningful activity analysis.

  • Contribute to program and curriculum development.

  • Maintain a safe treatment environment and manage resident behavior during crises.

  • Serve as a resource for interdisciplinary teams and participate in care plan meetings.

  • Assume responsibilities of the Program Director during their absence.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of two years' experience in behavioral health or a related field, with a strong background in neurobehavioral issues.

  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.

  • Proven ability to manage complex tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience in crisis intervention and ensuring the safety of residents and staff.

Pay Details: $145,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year
