Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: The Day Center Diet Tech is responsible for the daily coordination of the Day Center’s food service operation, including transitional housing and home delivered meals. Ensures the accurate implementation of the weekly and monthly day center menu, home delivered meals and supplements. Procures food, supplies and equipment in conjunction with the dietitian and day center supervisor, and maintains all food storage areas in an organized fashion. Develops and maintains inventory of food, nutritional supplements, and kitchen supplies and maintains food supply all storage areas, including transitional housing. Ensures that proper infection control procedures are maintained. Monitors and implements the cleaning and maintenance schedule of food service areas and equipment. Completes documentation in accordance with health care regulations (includes temperatures of refrigerator/freezer, sanitizer, and dishwasher) as well as communicating with Dietician and Day Center Supervisor about food utilization. Includes responsibility for distributing food and supplements to participants and/or home delivery as needed. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
