Inspector - Housekeeping

STARTING WAGE: $15.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Conduct a daily inspection of all assigned rooms and updating the front desk.
Advise Housekeepers of VIP rooms, blocked rooms and early make-ups.
Ensure Team Leads use proper handling of hair dryers, irons, ironing boards, bed boards and daily roll-aways
going to Team Leads section.
Ensure cleanliness and appearance of vending machine areas and guest elevator areas on the floor.
Report maintenance problems to engineering on proper forms, as well as coordination of special projects.
Report damage or theft of room items to Executive Housekeeper.
Adhere to basic house rules of all Team Members. Maintain standards and enforce discipline when needed.
Ensure the Executive Housekeeper is informed of progress and status of each area of responsibility.
May perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
