Position Summary

The CT Technologist successfully meets the needs of patients and families by delivering excellent patient care, performing diagnostic Radiology and CT procedures in a compassionate and safe manner and in accordance with established practices. Contributes to a positive and collaborative work environment while operating radiographic equipment, including whole body CT scanners. Processes quality images, maintains adequate records, assists physician and follows standard radiation and safety procedures.

This position is eligible for a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver excellent patient care by demonstrating compassion, thoroughly explaining procedures to patients, providing patient comfort, answering patient questions and completing exams in a timely manner
  • Prepare patient for Imaging exams by reviewing provider orders and notes, confirming correct exam to be performed, accurately assessing patient's needs, positioning patient appropriately for exam and providing patient education.
  • Perform quality exams by operating applicable Imaging equipment competently, including data acquisition, image manipulation and reconstruction, and quality control measures to ensure optimal quality diagnostic images and monitoring patient throughout the exam.
  • Maintain accurate patient records by completing correct and timely entries in all electronic health systems (i.e. HIS/RIS, PHA, PACS) and department specific programs.
  • Practice accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work calmly. Anticipates work to be done and seeks to assist others, maximizing productivity in both patient care and non-patient care departmental tasks.
  • Stay current in the field by enhancing personal professional skills and knowledge through CEUs, self-study, research and dialogue, ensuring competency in all assigned exams and ability to easily float to assigned areas. Orient and train new employees and students.
Selection Criteria:
  • ARRT (R) - ARRT registration in Radiology and minimum one year experience in radiology
  • ARRT (CT) - ARRT registration in CT or completed NH&C CT Competency verification
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification for Health Care Providers (if not current, will need to be obtained in the first 6 months of employment, company paid)
Schedule:
  • 80hrs/2wks
  • Set schedule, FLEXIBLE DAYS, determined by the new hire's preference and the needs of the department
  • 11:15 PM - 7:15 AM
  • Every 4th weekend, 7:15 PM - 7:15 AM, schedule adjusted for weekend as desired
  • Two holidays required per year
