Position Details:

Job Title: ETL Developer

Client: Financial

Duration: 6-month contract (potential extension/conversion)

Location: Mclean, VA, 22102

About the Role:
  • The role involves developing code for data-centric software applications, implementing Regulatory Reporting product vision, and evaluating new technologies.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop scalable and reliable data solutions to move data across systems in real-time and batch modes
  • Develop innovative automation solutions in data engineering using Agile construct
  • Support applications by providing fixes to production defects and making enhancements
  • Evaluate defects, investigate causes, and come up with solutions
  • Provide production support and communicate effectively on incident resolution
Education Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent working experience
Required Skills:
  • 4-6 years of experience in delivering solutions using Software Development Life Cycle
  • 4-6 years of ETL experience using DataStage, Unix, SQL, and Control-M
  • Strong data analytical skills with complex data sources
Optional Skills:
  • Data Engineering solution delivery using SAS, AWS (S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, PySpark, Data lake), Python, Snowflake, Dev Ops, and CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge and experience working with Informatica
  • Knowledge and experience working with Java
