Medical Equipment Processing Technician

70182BR Auto req ID: 70182BR Department: 24081 - KH Pump Cleaning Job Description: The Medical Equipment Processing Technician is responsible for maintaining high standards for decontamination, visual inspection, and operational verification of small medical equipment to include IV Pumps, PCA Pumps, SCD Pumps, and epidural Pumps. Additionally they will assure proper PAR levels of these devices on the Patient Care floors (as allowed by census, and device availability). They will assure all equipment that is tagged as having an issue, is overdue for a PM inspection, or fails a visual or operational verification is not returned to service but is sent to an appropriate Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) for repair and or PM Inspection. Associate of Applied Science preferred. 1 year of experience in Hospital or Nursing Home environment working with Universal Precautions preferred. Status: Full Time Shift: Evenings Scheduled Work Hours: 2p-10p with rotation Salary Range: $18.28-$23.16 per hour Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
