Cascade Mfg Co, established in 1953, is a leading manufacturer of wood and cold-formed steel trusses serving various markets in the Midwest, South, Southeastern US, and beyond. With manufacturing facilities strategically located in Cascade, IA and Tyler, TX for steel trusses, and Cascade, IA and Pleasantville, IA for wood trusses, we ensure efficient service and prompt delivery nationwide.

What would your day look like?

As the Plant Manager at Cascade Manufacturing Company, you will play a crucial role in managing production work to ensure all products meet both quality and quantity specifications. You'll prioritize maintaining a safe work environment, making safety a top priority for your team. Your responsibilities will also include hiring, training, and developing staff to boost productivity and morale. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and values will be a cornerstone of your management approach.

You'll effectively communicate with employees and leadership to foster a collaborative atmosphere. Additionally, you will conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to continuously enhance manufacturing processes. Embrace this opportunity to set up and lead our new location.

Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing or construction setting is essential, as you'll be expected to foster accountability and lead by example. Excellent written and verbal communication skills will facilitate effective interactions with both employees and leadership.

A strong mechanical aptitude, along with light welding and fabrication skills, will allow you to troubleshoot and enhance the production processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is necessary for maintaining documentation and reporting. A high school diploma and valid driver's license is required.

Knowledge and skills preferred for the position are:

  • Demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing or construction environment
  • Self-starting with the ability to create accountability and lead by example
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with light welding and fabrication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
