Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for color changes on molds/production orders, understanding information on BOMs.

• Remove and replace purging gaylords.

• Weigh and remove scrap from the production area.

• Maintain all colors on machines throughout the shift and set up for the next order.

• Perform set-up on the color system, correcting weight to % ratios.

• Perform silo and railroad car pumping, along with the internal silos.

• Follow all safety rules and ensure safe work practices are followed.

• Move materials to and from the machines, document weights, and put them back into inventory.

• Assist in giving breaks to machine operators.

• Perform various other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent- Basic math requirement
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions as well as work orders and reports in English
  • Previous fork truck experience in order to move materials
  • Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs. unassisted.
  • Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination and motor skills.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Vision: 20/20 corrected and normal hearing range.
