Paramedic at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency calls and provide on-scene medical care
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
  • Assist in the transport of patients to medical facilities
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and emergency personnel
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
  • Continuously monitor patients' condition and provide necessary interventions
  • Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of medical equipment and supplies

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited paramedic training program
  • Current certification as a Paramedic
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects

Requirements

  • Experience: Possess a minimum of 1 year experience as a Paramedic
  • License: Louisiana State Paramedic License
  • Certification: National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
  • Active ACLS ,BLS, and PALS Certifications by the American Heart Association
