Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization's financial well-being. Leveraging financial expertise, you'll generate insightful reports, analyze trends, and build budgets and forecasts that drive our long-term financial strategy. Furthermore, you'll be a trusted advisor, providing comprehensive financial analysis to financial managers, business leaders, and even physicians, ensuring strategic decision-making across all levels.

Position Summary:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Reporting:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, market trends, and economic data.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Generate insightful financial reports and presentations, effectively communicating results and trends to leadership at all levels (financial managers, business leaders, physicians).
Financial Planning & Budgeting:
  • Participate in the budgeting and planning process, identifying cost-saving opportunities and areas for revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain accurate financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted results, providing recommendations for course correction.
Strategic Support & Guidance:
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor, providing comprehensive financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization (finance, business, and medical departments).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial implications of business initiatives and investments.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and competitor activity, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
Financial Controls & Best Practices:
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Participate in the monthly/quarterly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in finance or accounting.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment desirable but not required.
  • Proven experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tool experience desirable but not required.
Knowledge, Competencies & Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and draw conclusions from data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly, concisely, and compellingly to diverse audiences (financial managers, business leaders, physicians).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas and functions), PowerPoint, and financial modeling software.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with colleagues across different departments.
  • Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial markets.
Tech Requirements for the Job:
  • High-speed, reliable internet connection to ensure uninterrupted communication and access to necessary systems and tools.
  • Quiet and private work environment to maintain the confidentiality of patient information and minimize background noise during calls.
  • Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools, such as video conferencing software, instant messaging platforms, and customer relationship management systems.
