We are searching for a dynamic individual to become the PRN Dispensing Nurse at our clinic (DAY SHIFT ONLY).

All applicants must undergo pre-employment drug screening,

which includes testing for marijuana, as well as background checks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for measuring and dispensing methadone and other medications according to doctor's orders, FDA, DEA, and OBH regulations and providing nursing and medical record-keeping services to the Methadone and other programs.

Responsible for ordering, receipt, dispensing, and record-keeping medication according to applicable rules and regulations.

Coordinating with program supervisors and counselors supports patient treatment, ensuring physicians' orders properly dispense all medication.

Responsible for dosing and documenting all methadone doses within scheduled clinic hours.

Reports inconsistencies and problems regarding handling the controlled substances to the program supervisor.

Maintains a clean and safe work area and immediately reports any potential hazards to the supervisor.

Observe the patient for urinalysis.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

LPN or RN license with some classes in a human service area, such as psychology.

Experience:

Prefer prior experience in the substance use field.

Other:

Knowledge of applicable laws regarding medication dispensing, storage, and accountability.

Basic computer skills are also required.

Physical Demands:
