Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individualized assessments to evaluate mental health and substance use concerns.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
  • Provide counseling and therapy sessions using evidence-based practices to address mental health and substance use issues.
  • Offer support, guidance, and education to clients and their families on coping strategies, behavioral changes, and relapse prevention.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with professional standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, trends, and best practices in mental health and substance use treatment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
  • State licensure or certification as a Mental Health Counselor or Substance Use Counselor (LCSW, LPC, LADC, etc.).
  • Experience in providing counseling or therapy services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices for treatment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach in working with diverse populations.
