Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and efficient coordination within the unit during assigned shifts. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC directs and monitors nursing care while serving as a resource for staff and upholding the organization's commitment to excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage admission and discharge processes to enhance patient flow and care quality.
  • Evaluate and improve the quality of care provided in collaboration with management.
  • Foster teamwork with subject matter experts to support improved patient outcomes.
  • Champion a patient-first approach and engage in service recovery as required.
  • Implement nursing strategies to enhance staff engagement and productivity.
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of new team members.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor to meet patient care needs.
  • Oversee inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.

Qualifications Required:

  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Active Registered Nurse license.
  • ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate, to be obtained within 60 days of starting employment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Previous leadership experience is essential.
