Summary:
Set up and clear tables, stock all service stations and assist food servers with table service to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Quickly clear dirty tables settings and prepare table for resetting. Promptly and consistently reset all service ware as prescribed.
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen, and condiments.
- Serve guest with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary.
- Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standard, which may established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees will be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs to the club. This includes nights and weekends and all holidays.
- Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe efficient operation of club facilities. Employees who violate club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- In addition to performance of the essential function, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the club.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard Club cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
- Folding napkins for all meal periods throughout the day to maintain an adequate supply.
- Perform other duties as requested such as cleaning unexpected spills, or special requests, to ensure total guest satisfaction.
- The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, to otherwise, transport up to 50lbs. through a crowded room.
- Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200lbs.
High School diploma required.
Language Skills
Must be able to comprehend the English language in order to communicate with co-workers and fully understand job assignments. Other languages beneficial.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates. For example: Washington Health Card; Oregon Liquor Service Permit. CPR Certification and/or First Aid training preferred
Reasoning Ability
Be able to work under stress without losing control of emotions.

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to reach, grab and lift objects over shoulder height
- Must be able to squat and kneel down on regular basis
- Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in the sun for long periods of time
- Must be able to bend & twist upper body to reach up, down or side-ways on regular basis
- Works in an outside restaurant, occasionally work inside when whether condition call for such.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Be a team player and provide lateral service.
- Follow Ocean Reef Club Associate Handbook and Quality Job Standards.
- Be able to endure outside weather conditions; heat, rain, cold, and at times high winds.
- Be willing and able to work when needed, including weekends & holidays.
