Position Overview: The Systems Administrator is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the organization's on-premise and cloud IT infrastructure. This position combines technical expertise with strategic thinking to manage, optimize, and secure various IT systems and networks. The primary responsibilities revolve around the configuration, installation, maintenance, and support of hardware, software, and network components.
Responsibilities of the Systems Administrator:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and networking components of the IT infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
- Implement security measures to protect IT assets and manage user access controls.
- Conduct backups and maintain disaster recovery plans for data integrity and business continuity.
- Provide technical support to end-users and collaborate with teams to address IT needs.
- Maintain the Microsoft 365 environment including SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Intune, Teams,
Entra, etc. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate on IT projects, offering technical expertise and support.
Required Skills of the Systems Administrator:
- 3+ years of IT experience.
- Proficiency in administering Microsoft 365 Exchange, Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.
- Understanding of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Familiarity with network components and protocols (routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, routing).
- Hands-on experience with Azure services and solutions, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and Azure Active Directory.
Bonus Skills of the Systems Administrator:
- Technical certifications (Microsoft, Azure, CompTIA, etc.)
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols).
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or similar.
